About Trendsetter’s Hydrate Remediation Unit

Trendsetter is pleased to announce that it has been granted U.S. Patent No. 10,273,785 for the use of continuous gas injection method of hydrate remediation.  Utilizing Trendsetter’s field proven 15K STIM or Hydrate Remediation Units, this patented methodology has the potential to reduce hydrate remediation projects by days or weeks, depending on the situation.

The Hydrate Remediation Unit (HRU) is the most streamlined version of the STIM System to date.  By taking key features from the original STIM System and focusing on performing hydrate remediation, Trendsetter was able to reduce the size and weight, while maintaining a robust and intuitive design.

With the smaller footprint, the HRU takes up a smaller amount of deck space on your vessel of opportunity making it more versatile than ever.  This versatility is further realized with the ability for the HRU to be deployed in the water column or mounted onto a Trendsetter HFL Deployment Frame.  Industry Standard interfaces on the top and bottom of the assembly allow for seamless integration into your system.

At Trendsetter, safety is the priority when operating on a live well and the design of HRU makes no exception.  The HRU is designed to integrate with the Trendsetter-designed Dual Valve Weak Link Assembly to allow for emergency disconnect in any situation.
