Work Life Balance


Trendsetter offers a flexible work environment that allows its employees a healthy work life balance. Our company culture is based around a strong trust with our employees and we truly care for their wellbeing. We provide a 9/80 schedule which allows employees 26 Fridays off a year as well as custom start times to fit each employee’s unique situation. Trendsetter also offers a generous PTO package which includes vacation, sick and family bonding time. We offer 8 paid holidays annually.

The position I was applying to is no longer available. Why is this?

If the position you were applying for is no longer listed on our careers page, it probably means it has been filled. We advise you to submit your application promptly as some of our open positions move very quickly.

 

Do I need to have experience in the Oil and Gas Industry to join Trendsetter?

Not necessarily, but it usually helps. Some roles do require direct experience in a similar job and environment, while other positions require less specific experience.

 

I applied for the position. What should I expect next?

Once you apply, your resume will be reviewed by HR and/or the hiring manager to see if you meet all the qualifications. This process can take up to 2 weeks depending on the volume of applications received. The top candidates for each position will be selected for a first-round interview either virtually or in person.

 

I submitted my resume and have not heard anything. How can I check on the status?

We receive a large number of applications and they all have to be reviewed thoroughly, so you might not hear anything right away. If you would like an update on the status of the position or to ensure your application was received, you can send an email to hr@trendsetterengineering.com for an update.

 

What should I do to prepare for the interview?

Once you have been invited to a face-to-face interview, you should examine the job duties listed in the job posting. Consider the qualifications you have to perform those functions and how your past experience would be well suited for the new role. Reviewing Trendsetter’s website and researching our company is also helpful and could provide some context for interview conversations. Next, write down your list of questions to bring with you and give yourself plenty of time to arrive punctually. Last but not least, come dressed for success!

 

What can I expect at a face-to-face interview?

You will be meeting in a conference room at our Houston, Texas office. The interview will be panel-style with several members of the team which will usually include the hiring manager, HR and a member from leadership. We will give you time to tell us about yourself and then have a question-and-answer period. Lastly, we will answer any questions you have. The whole process should take less than an hour.
